I  paint people, it’s through our body sensory that we get to feel alive & the spiritual with in us,
I am interested in Identity, Consumerism & the body beyond representation. 
I am interested in the potentials making visible that which when we recognize our plurality.


Fitsum studied painting, sculpture and printmaking at the Asmara School of Art. His work has been exhibited in prominent venues across Kenya including East African Visual Arts (formerly RaMoMa), Circle Art, One-Off Gallery and prestigious international fairs. These include The YIA Art Fair in Paris, Art Karlsruhe in Germany, IMPART Art Fair in Lagos, Nigeria. His works are part of the permanent collection in Naples at Casoria Contemporary Art Museum. He has exhibited at:
